Couple of flocculators
Starting point of the Ricotta Production Plant from MILK INNOVATION, the Flocculators work using steam injection. They are built entirely in AISI 304 steel and have various advantages, among which are: the ease of employment, the limited need for labour, the important energy savings, and the remarkable productivity thanks to their use coordinated to that of the Drainage Truck.
The ease of employment is thanks to the fact that the Flocculators are all assembled and prepared in the factory before the shipping: once the plant is received, it is only necessary to position and assemble it then connect the water, steam, and whey lines.
The limited need of labour is due to the design of the plant, that requires usually just two people for running the whole line. In the instance of Double (Coupled) Flocculators, the benefit becomes even greater, as it is sufficient to synchronize the heating of one Flocculator with the unloading of the other to optimize the time needed for the production.
The energy savings are subject to the presence of two Flocculators, and are obtained thanks to an heat exchanger that allows to transfer calories from the exhaust whey exiting one tank, to the fat whey entering the other, with the double advantage of reducing energy consumption and saving time to the production.
The enhanced productivity is due to the bottom-draining concept, through which the Whey, and the Ricotta floating in it, are transferred inside the Drainage Truck where the drainage process itself takes place: a procedure that makes it possible to catch even the particles floating in the whey, improving the yield and reducing the waste.
Moreover the washing is made easier from the construction concept of the Flocculators: an accurate cleaning can be done simply using the built-in washing ball and with minimal intervention from the operators.
